Please see information below on a FREE local community workshop being held by SAVS, a local independent charity and Southend Borough Council:
Working Together for a Healthy Shoebury FREE Workshop – 16th January 11am – 1pm at SAVS Centre, 29-31 Alexandra Street, Southend-on-Sea, Essex SS1 1BW.
Join us for this workshop on how we can all work together on the topic of health and wellbeing for those living in Shoebury. This session will provide the opportunity for discussion on the current health services and community assets (groups, venues, support) where we live as well as planning for the future.
All are welcome to take part in the session and we are particularly interested in hearing about your personal experiences of living in Shoebury, what helps you to stay well and the things you enjoy about the place you live.
The workshop is being held in partnership between Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and Southend CCG (who provision the health services in Southend) and is supported by SAVS. It will include:
- Introduction to Livewell Southend, a new website developed to help us stay healthier and happier
· Update on developments in Shoebury (including community hubs, dementia, phlebotomy services, care….)
· Working together to gather ideas on potential links between the community resources and health and social care services to help us all stay healthy and well
Tickets are free and available below.
