We have all had such an enjoyable time settling into Reception over the last few weeks. We have started Write Dance to support us with our gross motor and fine motor development while dancing to music, which has had us giggling with laughter pretending to be robots! We have also introduced Numicon to support us with our learning of Maths, as well as learning our first 3 graphemes (s, a and t) during Phonics. We loved our first couple of Music lessons with Miss Rowe, P.E. with Mr Winch and exploring the Library with Miss Noakes, this will continue to be on a Thursday morning.
This week we had a visit from the Daily Telegraph, whereby we had a photographer take pictures of us showcasing our beautiful garden and outdoor learning area, including: den building, making some yummy ‘treats’ in the mud kitchen, as well as using our fantastic woodwork bench in the outdoor learning area – look out for us in the Daily Telegraph newspaper in early October!
We have also had our very first visit from Father Jonathon, we learnt about the story of Noah’s Ark and explored some of the animals mentioned in the story.

We look forward to continue having fun and learning in the next few weeks.
