Headteacher’s Welcome | Thorpedene Primary School Headteacher’s Welcome | Thorpedene Primary School

Head teachers Welcome

2016-04-03 20.19.08-400

On behalf of the Thorpedene Primary School community, I am delighted to welcome you to our website.

Since joining the school at Easter 2015 I am proud of the direction in which the school is heading. Progress is evident and the children daily demonstrate their enthusiasm to learn.

Here at Thorpedene we are passionate about promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all our children and are committed to providing a welcoming, community atmosphere in which we can nurture the achievements of every child. Whilst academic learning is highly valued we also know the importance of a broad and balanced education, with the talents of each child recognised and celebrated, thereby enabling all of our children to grow in confidence, develop a sense of responsibility and achieve their personal goals.

Your children are the reason why we are all here. Firstly, and in my opinion most importantly, we will always try to ensure that your child is happy. As a parent myself, I fully understand that children’s happiness, safety and wellbeing must always be the priority.

I have spent two decades teaching within schools in Southend . As well as qualifying as an Ofsted inspector, I have undertaken specialist roles for the Local Authority. Now, as Headteacher of Thorpedene, I am fortunate to lead a team of loyal and dedicated staff who all want to do their best for your children. I will strive to promote and support excellent practice within our school.

The staff, children and governors are all extremely proud of Thorpedene Primary School and are always pleased to show current or prospective parents around so that you can see for yourself what we have to offer your children. To find out more about our wonderful school, please do contact us.
